Amazon Music Arrives on Select Pioneer Components, Bringing a World of Music, Playlists, Radio, and More to Your Living Space

October 11, 2018
As global leader in audio-visual and hi-fi audio innovation, Pioneer continues to demonstrate its commitment to early-access provision of next-generation technologies to its worldwide customer base, aiming to simplify and enhance the home entertainment experience. Today, the company announces a firmware update that activates Amazon Music on select stereo receivers, network audio players, mini-system receivers, soundbars, and lifestyle audio products.

Pioneer customers can now enjoy native support for Amazon Music with a Prime Music or Amazon Music Unlimited account. Prime Music is an on-demand music streaming service available free of charge for Amazon Prime subscribers and features a library of about two million tracks. Amazon Music Unlimited, meanwhile, offers a discounted monthly subscription to Amazon Prime members and boasts tens of millions of songs.

Prime Music and Amazon Music Unlimited also feature thousands of professionally curated playlists, personalized music stations, and support for offline playback. Content from both services is served ad-free with unlimited plays, and new albums are typically added to the Amazon Music Unlimited catalog on the day they’re released in the Digital Music Store. Enthusiasts can now enjoy a wealth of content through their Pioneer component with richly immersive sound quality.

Amazon Music is accessed, and playback managed, via the free Pioneer Remote App for iPhone, iPad, and Android™ devices, or via remote controller and front-panel display on selected products.

Music streaming to the Pioneer component can also be wirelessly shared between components around the home via multi-room network technologies (where available), including Pioneer’s proprietary FlareConnect™ multi-room platform, at the same time.

The firmware rollout will enable Amazon Music on the following Pioneer products:
-       SX-N30AE, SX-S30, and SX-S30DAB Network Stereo Receivers
-       N-70AE, N-50AE, and N-30AE Network Audio Players
-       NC-50, NC-50DAB, XC-HM86, XC-HM86D, XC-HM76, and XC-HM76D Network CD Receivers
-       FS-W50 and FS-W40 Network Music Systems
-       XC-HM86, XC-HM86D, X-HM86D, X-HM76, and X-HM76D Network Micro Systems
-       MRX-5 and MRX-3 Wireless Audio Systems
